Panel or unit:
A compendium of all EFSA scientific opinions, statements, guidance and reports - 2009
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is the keystone of European Union (EU) risk assessment regarding food and feed safety. In close collaboration with national authorities, and in open consultation with its stakeholders, EFSA provides independent scientific advice and clear communication on existing and emerging risks.
EFSA’s Scientific Committee and Panels carry out risk assessments in order to produce scientific opinions and advice for risk managers. Their work is based on the most recent scientific methodologies, information and data available. EFSA’s scientific advice provides a sound foundation for European policies and legislation and supports risk managers in taking effective and timely decisions.
In support of its risk assessment activities, EFSA also works to harmonise risk assessment methodologies and practices across the EU, consolidate EU-wide data collection and analysis, promote scientific cooperation with Member States, and identify emerging risks associated with the food chain.
This CD is the compilation of the documents adopted by the Scientific Committee, Panels and units in 2009 and published between 1 January 2009 and 18 January 2010. In this CD-ROM, you can search outputs according to the type of output (see the EFSA definitions of scientific outputs) and/or according to the unit or Panel. You can also find reports produced for EFSA by external parties under specific EFSA procedures. Search results can be printed.
